If one of your goals is to get out more this summer and enjoy the longer days, here are five free, fun options. Enjoy!
1) Movies on the Beach
The Department of Beaches and Harbors presents Beach Movie Nights. Enjoy FREE family-friendly movie screenings on the sand, by the waves, and under the stars at the Dockweiler Youth Center, Friday nights this summer! Be sure to bring blankets and bundle up. Movies start around 8 PM. Link to their website.

2) Free Sunset Yoga in Culver City on Tuesday Evenings
Culver City Steps has free yoga on Tuesday evenings sponsored by Core Power Yoga. Classes run every Tuesday (weather permitting) from June 2nd to August 25, 2026 at 6:30PM. Please bring a yoga mat. 3) Movies at the Culver Steps in Culver City
Movies at The Steps returns this summer! Join us Fridays at sunset to watch family classics. Please bring your own blankets/chairs.
Complimentary popcorn* will be provided.

This event is free and open to the public; no pre-registration is required. Complimentary one-hour parking at The Culver Steps.

4) LACMA free music all summer long….
Head out to LACMA for live free music, picnicking, and community on the LACMA grounds. The free jazz concerts are presented Friday evenings from May to November. Latin Sounds are presented on Saturday evenings from Memorial Day weekend in May to Labor Day weekend in September. Also, LACMA is free after 3 PM for LA County residents on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. They are closed on Wednesdays.
5) Burton Chace Park in Marina del Rey Summer Concert Series
Now in its 26th year, the Marina del Rey Summer Concert Series returns with exciting symphonic and pop concerts at beautiful Burton Chace Park. Enjoy a serene sunset by the water and brilliant music under the stars—for free! Not all of the dates have the performers listed yet, but 7/18/26 is Los Lobos.
